my ratio is still 1/c and over 250 i always check for keytones
the highest that has been so far is 1.1.
But the basil rate is one that has been confusing me quite a bit i
had a temp rate and too i started to bolus for everything i was
eating.
Ive called my dr numerous times and im slowly getting the hang of it
so much easier when ive seen other on it think ah that must be so
easy but it's not.

Hi Tori: welcome! It's possible that your basal rate isn't fine tuned yet.
Did your CDE calculate your insulin sensitivity factor? What type of
Insulin are you using in your pump.
It's normal to feel kind of rotten initially. If you've been DM for a long
time, it's going to take a bit of persistence on your part until you adjust
to a new routine.....Just hang in there.

<< Ive been MIA a bit have been on my insulin pump for a bit now and
though im sticking with it i think this just isn't working for me.
Ive been so sick the last 2 weeks in hospital once and my bs has been
very unbalanced im 600 one second and then 70 the next i just feel
so unwell all the time.
Did this happen to anyone when they first started?.
>>

Im sorry youre having trouble Tori. With me when I first started I did
exellent. It was so good I had never felt that good in years. Now its not
as good but still better than when I was on shots. I wish you could set a
rate and that would be it forever and your BGs would always be right. I know
Im living in dream land. Anyway I hope you guys can figure out how to adjust
everything so you can stay on the pump. Chrissy
