		<description>I had problems when it was really hot and humid and I was sweating a lot caused
the tape to come undone, that's the only problem that I have ever had with
weather. I could be considered a newbie as well, I have only been pumping since
March of this year and I must add that I am LOVING every minute of it!!!

Chera

&#62; &#60;&#60;Other than that I change everything every 2-3 days depending on the weather
or activity etc.
&#62;
&#62; Chera&#62;&#62;

may I ask what weather may have to do with it (remember, I'm a newbie) or what
activities could cause you to need to change it. sweating?
thanks
&lt;!--more--&gt;

		<description>&#60;&#60; Sorry, but I forget who is on the Disentronic H Tron Plus.... but this
may be a general question.....

Do you know why or even if it IS necessary to change the infusion set
other than when you change the site? Just seems like a waste of 20 units

Faith, just curious

&#62;&#62;
Hi Faith: part of it is the risk of infection. What I do is draw back those
units when I change my set...sort of recycling so the insulin doesn't go to
waste....Joan:)</description>

		<description>Yes, hot weather can make the adhesive come lose if you're in it for an
extended period of time. Only time it ever happened to me I was at a
bluegrass music festival in 95 degree heat all day.

		<description>If I understand the question correctly, there has only been one or two times
that I have changed the infusion set without changing the site to, reason being
that I had just done a site change in the morning and the tape to the site
pulled off and I had to insert another one, because I had just put in 150 units
of insulin that morning I did not see the need to waste it and change
everything. Other than that I change everything every 2-3 days depending on the
weather or activity etc.

Chera

Faith, I'm not sure I entirely understand your question. I change sites AND
infusion sets every 3 days. Don't recall ever having changing sets without
also changing sites.

		<description>sorry, excuse my ignorance, but i mean the cord.... the guy that trained me
(diestronic rep) said that lots of people only change the set ever 3-4 days, and
the set every other time. make sense?
My question is why it needs to be changed at all, other than say, each time you
add insulin
