WOW! If this were a year ago and I was working on my BASH* booklet, I
would have deleted one of the duplicate items I included to put the
above in. What a way to word that, Doreen. You GO girl!

here is another thought!! A person with diabetes eats a piece of cake, we
program a blous to cover what we just ate, no problems A person without
diabetes eats a piece of cake their body produces and uses the insulin their
body needs to cover the same peice od cake. I no longer see people with
diabetes as cheaters when we just have a middle of the road step to program
a blous or take a shot? I used this senario when soemone called me a
cheater. Needless to say, I have never been called a cheater again, at
least by that particular person anyway!

Have a great day!

<< The days of calling diabetics "cheaters " is long gone. We
don't have to put up with that. The amazing thing is that forever
people w/diabetes have been using "extra" insulin to cover high
sugars or eat something they want , for a change. Then comes this
guilt trip from the medical ppl. Now with the pump, it's like telling
them that we were right all along! We can do what we want, eat what
we want, go where we want and not suffer the consequences of a high
suger. The pump will give you that freedom. Don't let any dr. call
you a cheater!
>>

A BIG AMEN SISTER!!!!! Chrissy

Yeah you are right, my educator hates that word cheating and one of my best
friends would rip a hole in you if you said it to her. There is no such
thing anymore.
