Charlie,
Try Mastisol, Tincture of Benzoin (aka Gorilla Snot), or unscented
anti-perspirant roll-on. If tape residue is present afterwards, try baby oil
to remove it.

Hi, thanks for your responce. I insert in my abdomen.
My workouts are very rigorous and there is a great
deal of pressure in my abs region when I'm pressing
and squating 450lbs. The tape just gives out when I
start to sweat.

Well, actually I'm a couch potato, but since you are using your legs and there
is a lot of muscle there, that activity will push out the canula. The tape
should be essentially worthless whether you are sweating or not. Do the sets
push out when in your abdomen/tummy doing the same sweating? That may be your
solution. (~_^)

I had a similar problem and I have been using SkinTac and that is a great help.
There is a site that also has a great tape that is water proof and it is helping
as well. I believe the Skin Tac is really the best.

Hi,
I would really like to talk to pumpers who are very physically active.
I am an amateur bodybuilder and when I do legs my infusion comes out.
The tape is worthless when I start to sweat. I called MiniMed last
night after changing yet another infusion and talked to them about
this problem. They are sending me tape and adhesive samples to try.
Has anyone had a similar expierence and how did you solve it? I wiped
the site with the IV prep before I applied the tape. I have to see how
that works. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Take care,
<!--more-->
