> My insurance has already approved a full year of pump
> supplies. My year is up in late March. Will I still get the year of
supplies or
> just until the end of the year?
> Connie

Connie,
I got to thinking that you intend to trade your 508 in on the Paradigm. Since
those infusion sets will be proprietary to the Paradigm, I would not think you
could *stock* up unless MM will trade in old, unused sets for the new.
Something to consider when questioning.

> While I was writing the previous message I was thinking about my supply
coverage
> after January 1. My insurance has already approved a full year of pump
> supplies. My year is up in late March. Will I still get the year of
supplies or
> just until the end of the year? If it's just until the end of the year, can
I
> get the final year of supplies in December?
> Connie

My ins. co. at the time I got Bluda Sue paid for 1 year's supplies - 12 boxes
of each. Now, how many of us use a box a month? I don't - I use one box every
4 months - therefore, I have 4 years' worth of supplies. Good thing! That ins.
co. isn't ours any more either. This co. is killing us! $80 co-pay for a
90-day supply for each of about 6 of our meds is wayyyyy too much. I haven't
<!--more-->
needed supplies from this company as yet. ;)

My thought is, as with other meds, how soon will they allow you to reorder? If
there is a date limit, that will be your answer. I reuse my reservoirs as I
know many others do. That saves costs.

Whatever the decision is by your ins. co. or MiniMed - get names and in
writing. Good Luck. (~_^)
