Indy/"brittle"/Ken
>6/23 at Shapiro’s Deli / anybody in the area
Darn, I’ll be arriving July 1 — it’d be such fun to meet other pumpers
in person (which I learned from meeting Chrissy)! Everyone in Phoenix
is saying "wait’ll you see the Midwest, it’s so GREEN" so we’re driving
all over the place before my husband’s family reunion…northern
Kentucky farms, Rock & Roll Museum, whatever else looks good in the
tourbooks…but <sigh> too late for Shapiro’s Deli!
"Brittle" — does anyone who was Type 1 in the 1960s remember NOT being
called that at some point?
Ken, good luck with your start! It’s wonderful how there’s
firsthand-experience help as close as your keyboard…I know anytime I
had a question for a Real Pumper (not a tech or CDE), I could ask on
here and get tremendous answers right away. I honestly think I would’ve
quit pumping during the first week (just because it wasn’t the
100-percent joy described in the brochures) if it weren’t for the
support from this loop — it’s the best imaginable!
I’ll look forward to next June 19, when we can both wish each other
"Happy Anniversary" <g>

Wow! You are going to be covering some miles Laurie! If you go to Cleveland
for the R&R Hall of Fame, check out Cedar Point in Sandusky (about an hour
west). It’s one of the largest amusement parks in the US. There is also a
Sea World in Cleveland. If you like the history of planes, there’s the Air
Force Museum (FREE!) in Dayton, OH with Wright brother stuff. In Indy
there’s the zoo and Children’s Museum. Of course, then there’s Chicago…..
