Minimed quickserter
I’ve been on the Minimed 508 since April 26 and have only used the new
Quickserter. The adhesive patch is about 1.5 inches in
diameter and has stayed stuck to my tummy every time. The entire prep and
insertion time is barely 10 min. - and I’m new at this!
I’m very pleased with everything - well, maybe except the times that I count all
my carbs and then forget to give the bolus. Frustration
is still alive and kicking… but I think pumping is great!!

I have only been pumping since March and I have to agree with you that I
think that it is great!!! I had my first A1C done a few weeks ago since
starting the pump and it is starting to come done nicely. I too sometimes
forget to give the bolus after counting all of the carbs, but I am getting
better at that now. Best wishes for continued success with your pump. I
like to refer to mine as my new best friend (LOL). Chera

Welcome to the pump club Audra. Ya know it’s seems like only yesterday you
were looking for a Pro pump Endo. and now here you are pumping away. Dr.
Hanna you’re using isn’t it?

Hey FP
I never got an appt,. with Dr. Hanna. His secretary/nurse never
called me back. I’ve actually been on my own since April 26, haven’t
called anybody, except for the MiniMed hotline. I did the fasting
breakfast test the other day and my BG did go up from 5.5 at 6am
to 7.7 at lunch. I have an appt. with Dr. Brooks here in Markham
tomorrow and I’ll see what he says.
One of the reasons I haven’t called anybody is because I wanted to
figure out what was wrong myself, with the help of Pumping Insuliin
by Walsh. I believe it was JH who suggested I not worry about the
doctors and other so-called help. Besides, I get rather outraged at
having to leave a message and then get no call for three days. By
then, I’ve figured it out or I’m dead. So far, I’ve figured it out.
Besides I know that this will get easier and easier. So many people
on this conference have assured me, and I am finding they are right.
they are right.

I receive frequent posts on this list that include the statement
Apparently these items are not allowed by the server. What are the rules
here?
The example below contains nothing except this removal statement, which makes
the post rather useless…..

This list doesn’t accept attachments and it was probably a forwarded message or
an attachment. I notice it is also sent in HTML - easier if it’s set to Plain
Text format.

I was wondering about that post also. Chrissy

That is a post from a user who is unaware that HTML messages are not allowed on
the list… they have too much graphic content and get clipped.

I forget how you can tell if your messages are in plain text or HTML. Chrissy
PS: Frank when I post my time is wrong. How do I correct that? I set my
clock on my computer and my posts still say the wrong time. Any ideas?

The *best* way to tell is, are there colored ads at the bottom of the posts on
this list? If so, it is HTML.

Oh Joan,
I figured it out. On that particular board that I post to they keep it on
Chrissy
EST (Eastern Standard Time) so no matter what your computer clock says it
will put it in EST on there board. I dont have that problem here.
