Infusion set questions

Does anyone other than MiniMed make an infusion set inserter? I am a wimp and
just can’t do the infusion set without the softserter. I was wondering why none
of the other pump makers have one of these great inventions.

Hi Catie: as far as I know, I haven’t seen anything else related to the
Softserter. Have to remember the softset takes a bit more effort to insert.
    Same with the Tenders/Silhouettes/Comforts.
Once you get the hang of using the Softsets, ask your supplier to send you
some of the other sets to try. There are Rapids - which I’ve come to
prefer….come in different tubing lengths and needle lengths. 6mm, 8mm, and
10 mm. I like the fact that they lie flat and don’t get bumped as easily as
    the others….Joan:))

As a former wimp, I can sympathize.

However, I found that it was all superstition!

After repeated failures with various soft set inserters, I reluctantly
bit the bullet, and switched to the simple, but effective, bent needle.
No problems. No fear. Just good results.

A CDE that also had been down that road convinced me. That was 9 years
    ago.

I will do that and see if I can get to insert quicker. I never did with giving
shots so I don’t know if I will with this.

Wish me luck I have a sleep study for sleep apnea tomorrow.
