My suggestion is to lay an IV3000 or Tegaderm down FIRST and then put your
site in on top of it/through it. The IV3000/Tegaderm does not leave any
residue and I find that the adhesion is better that way anyway :O)
YMMV!

<< Hi, I'm a new pumper (about 1 month) on the 508 and loving it. I had
one question--does anyone have tips on removing the tape residue that
is sometimes left after removing an insertion set (I use the
Silhouette). I know there are commercial products like the Unisolve
Adhesive Remover Wipes (I haven't tried it yet), but I was hoping to
find some simple home remedy solution instead of spending $15 for the
wipes. >>
Hi Roshan: plain, old rubbing alcohol.....soak a cotton washcloth and
gently rub the adhesive off....might take a little bit but it works....Joan:))

I'll try the baby oil first, not only will it get rid of the tape
residue but it will leave my skin feeling oh so soft.

Try a little bit of nail polish remover on a cotton ball.

Roshan,

I'm a lazy pragmatist; I simply peel like hell until the stuff it gone;
sometimes it hurts, sometimes it works, but its free.

There is more stuff to relieve pain around that sort of works badly; my
attitude is, ignore these if possible. I always thought that band aids
were only for the benefit of Johnson and Johnson.

I would love to hear an answer to this as well. I didn't even know there was a
commercial product.

Thanks,
