inside info…..
I’ve heard that with in 12-9 months, mini med will be coming out with
their own insulin. Because of the problems that can happen with
insulin and high temps, mini med came out with an insulin that can be
kept in any temp and will be good for 2 years (if this is true..
WOW!). This meens no more messing around with a syringe.
Also, I heard minimed will becoming out with a new pump in 6 months,
this pump will have a water *PROOF* (not resistent) shell. Which
means no more worries about the wet stuff!

This is the Paradigm pump scheduled for release 2/02. Some of us don’t like
some of the features that were released, however, I believe they have been
redesigning it. We’ll know by this time next year. I’m still happy with the
bells and whistles on my 507C and don’t use all of them.

Chrissy…
Don’t need to call them…just go to the web site…they have
information on the Paradigm there.
www.minimed.com
They are getting ready to do user trials for feedback prior to
actually releasing this product for merchandising.

just went to their site. They make the glucose sensor that will be linked to
their pump. That is EXCITING news.

Does anyone on the list have this type of pump? It is looking very good to me.
I don’t know how to go about getting my insurance to switch me to another pump.
