perimenopause

>if you are perimenopausal, that will affect your insulin sensitivity

Wow, maybe THAT explains all those recent highs! I just tried a
"perimenopause" search on diabeteswell.com and couldn’t find anything,
but does anybody know of a place to read more?

Laurie, who’s being extra scrupulous about carb counts/bg tests but
still wants an easier way <g>

    Laurie,
Your best resource for perimenopausal info should be at your YEARLY GYN
checkup of which I am sure you do. ;-) Jan (~_^)

until July. And since she alwaysasks if I’m scrupulously seeing my endo & CDE,
    Idon’t think she hasmuch expertise in diabetes. / I’m hoping there’s a
book orwebsite or something! / Laurie, replying via website andcurious

The perimenopausal period is the years just prior to actual menopause.
Go to medscape.com and type in menopause under women’s health….that should
    get you started….Joan:)))
