Does anyone know if ANY meter makers have programs for Mac’s?

Welcome, Connie! This is a great loop — I never would’ve made it
through the pump-starting process without all the incredibly helpful
people on here.

For everybody who remembers that I was gonna start being extra-careful
about carbs after realizing how darn many highs I was charting, this
week has been like starting over again. Right now I’m eating a TV
dinner that lists carbs because the Mexican restaurant we normally visit
doesn’t list have any idea what’s in their food. I sure wouldn’t want
to keep this up permanently, but it’s nice to know I’m recording
accurate data!

Now I gotta figure out how to solve the seemingly random highs, but at
least the process is under way….

This AM I had a reading with the FastTake of 540!

I felt fine, and was rather shocked.

I repeated it with the OneTouch Profile; answer, 58.

I am certain that the sample was collected properly. Has anyone else had an
experience like this?

hi. my wife who is 48 years old has been type 1 for allmost 40 years.
she is very
brittle.
a few of years ago she had been in the hospital for congestive heart
failure . one of the doctors there told us she should look into the
pump. after leaving the hospital we seeked out the information and
found a endo that was in favor of the pump. my medical insurance paid
for it "thank God". if not she would be using about 6 needles a
day.she now has been a pumper for about 3 years . at first she
thought
it was going to be complicated, but she caught on quick, and i was
amazed how fast she mastered it. her kidneys improved, her whole
outlook on life had changed. her endo said that he wished we found
him
much earlier, before she started having retinopathy. she is blind in

Thanks, everybody, for all the ideas! I think I’ll start by being
religious about exact carbs this coming week, because I’m betting I’ve
gotten sloppy. Then if my levels are as good as when I started pumping,
I’ll know the problem was just carelessness.

(Although I wish it were something less time-consuming to fix!)
