Funding At Issue
Washington, D.C., January 23, 2001 —Stem cell research - the promising avenue of
scientific inquiry that may lead to treatments and potential cures for diabetes
and other diseases - has been the subject of heightened media attention, as the
political, ethical and legal debate over stem cell sources and federal funding
