unnamed pump
Bradley, that’s a fun question! I’m surprised that I _didn’t_ make up a
name for my pump, since naming characters is probably my favorite part
of writing romance novels.
Unless maybe I use up all my naming energy there…
Anyway, Buddy sounds like a winner!

I call my pump "the device" or "the gadget". If you want to really know why,
ask, but I’ll give you a hint. It’s an historical reference to a scientific
invention that changed the world, and that’s what the scientist referred to
it as. Cudos to the person who can guess what it is!

My family named my pump, or maybe they were giving me a nickname…they call
it "Mr. Roboto", because I beep all of the time.

My name for my Minimed pump is Refurbished because it has failed 3 times and
each time it had to be replaced with a refurbished one. =)
