I have been pumping since Aug. I know exactly how you feel about inserting the sofset. It is still probably my highest stress activity, even though I realize that the finger pricks seem to hurt more. I think the intro needle looks huge inside of the protective tubing. I think people might adjust if they could not see the needle until they pull of the tubing. I had to laugh when I read this. But I did do it finally and it did not hurt at all. I think I am going to like this pump. I have only had it on for a day and my bg's are still high but we are in the training period and my doc warned me that it may take a couple of weeks or maybe longer to get the right basal patterns and stuff down.
