I myself demand all my test be faxed to me as soon as they get to the
doctors office no questions asked. Remember they are your test, you pay for
them not the doctor, they are your property not his. I ran into a problem a
few years ago that my doctor missed, it was a potientaly dangerous problem
but thank god I went into the hospital and got the procedure done and
everything was fine. You must demand not only the results but copies of all
your blood test. This is how I feel. Don’t be shy it is your life.

Every MD I deal with automatically offers copies of all test results, no
questions asked.
Anyone who does not do so, deserves a sharp jab in their consciousness.
Many years ago, the Internist I was dealing with only did a glucose test
once/year, and never even told me the result! The only comment: ‘you are
doing fine…’.
A few years later I developed retinopathy, and found that my A1c was
16…(the first time I had heard of that procedure); so much for good
medicine.
Moral: You HAVE to be your own MD, be informed, and question everything
that can rationally be challenged.

Sharon,
That’s nice he got you the pump - but that doesn’t me he’s the only
pump-friendly doc on the charts. I do think I would dump him. Maybe he
doesn’t want to relinquish your control to YOU - the owner of the
*condiditon.* Next time, get the test BEFORE the appointment and get the
result when you go in so it can be discussed there. If you go back.

Hey, see you got your puter back Jan. I didn’t see your name when I checked
on so assumed you didn’t get it back. I just posted why you were off.
