Hi group, has anyone had any experience with this. Please l;et me have your
thoughts on this subject…

Greetings far flung folks,
Here’s a link to a fairly exhaustive listing/directory of urban myths, net
hoaxes, folklore, rumors and other digital tales. Quite amusing and funny; I’ve
found it to be good reading.
Enjoy,

Here is a site to check out any questionable *please forward this to anyone
you know* posts.
>people continue to forward this "warning" about aspartame
>because they want to help, but a little further research will show
>there is *NO*, repeat *NO* evidence that aspartame
>is detrimental to one’s health *UNLESS* one has PKU
Well, that’s a relief! I’m gonna forward this to my mom, who sent the
aspartame article, and let her pass it along to whoever else might’ve
been worried.
Now, has anybody heard about the alligators in the sewers? <g>

I’m not sure how much of this applies to anybody…but if you think you
might have problems with lupus, MS or aspartame, it’s interesting!

Aspartame Crisis Posed To World Environmental Conference
By Betty Martini

I have spent several days lecturing at the WORLD ENVIRONMENTAL CONFERENCE
on ASPARTAME: Marketed as ‘NutraSweet,’ ‘Equal,’ and ‘Spoonful.’
In the keynote address by the EPA, they announced that there was an
epidemic of multiple sclerosis and systemic lupus, and they did not
understand what toxin was causing this to be rampant across the United

Doctors at a hospital in Brooklyn, New York have gone on strike.
Hospital officials say they will find out what the doctors’ demands are as
soon as they can get a pharmacist over there to read the picket signs.
I am livid about the article in Newsweek featuring
"Diabetes" on the cover. The whole article is 98% type
II (most likely due to the 1990’s data that t-2 is on
the rise due to Lazy’assidosis, or couch potatoism).
It’s the way they covered T-1 that iritates me. They
show the new meter taking a forearm BG test with the
caption "not so bad"! Yeah, not so bad for a reporter
to stick themselves once and say, try doing it 6-10
times daily for several years! They say T-1 is the
"other kind" of DM that is treated differently,
without going into specifics. They also advise,
"luckily it is not on the rise"! Maybe they should
speak with some of the recent Dx’d members on this
list. They unbelievable state that T-2 is an
‘altogether more complicated disease’ , then go on to

Jan,
I have six basal rates in 24 hours, I’ve not reduced in each one, as I’ve left
the sleeping rate alone, just added a small snack at bedtime. Total reduction
is 1.7 units, so far, plus I’m still needing a snack mid-morning, mid-afternoon
and evening, plus bedtime, so I suspect I’ll keep reducing, very slowly from
here. Have a pump clinic appointment on the 5th and will try to solidify rates
(as solidified as basal rates ever get what with exercise or lack thereof) at
that time.
I am still astonished at the difference the reduction of lactose caused. I
must be very lactose intolerant but didn’t know it because it never made me
feel unwell, just made my stomach bloat. I’ve certainly learned it also did a
