Start Day

I started with my pump therapy today. I went in expecting to start with a
saline solution today, but found out I would actually start with the insulin
today.

So far, everything seems to be as if it were meant to be. The insurance
approved it quickly. The insertions are less painful than my finger pricks.
My endocrinologist is one of the best diabetes specialist in the area (also a
pump wearer herself).

This is the first day of having to deal with the actual infusion site, but I
do not seem to have any problem yet, after having it inserted 16hours at this
point.

I do not expect everything to be perfect, but it seems that I am off to a
good start. A positive start is always good. I am sure it is because I took

the time to become familiar with the processes and have read the many emails
from this list.

Thanks to all of you and am looking forward to even more.

Later, Bart

Thats wonderful Bart. You know for me even just the little things about the
pump I love. Just the fact that I can take my insulin whenever and wherever
I want, eat when I want, sleep in if I want make it worth while. Of course
having better BGs is great!!!! But even if only for the convience of it I
would wear it. Keep it up your doing great. Chrissy

You are lucky to have an endo who is also a pump user. The best of all
    possible worlds! Good luck.
