that 5-minute bg checker
Tonight just as I was leaving work the CDE called to ask if I’d like to
get hooked up to this machine Thursday morning. I forget what it’s
called, but it checks your blood sugar levels every five minutes for
three days, and somebody on here did that within the past couple
months…?
Anyway, for whoever’s done it, my question is: is there anything that’d
be handy to know before starting? I thought to ask the CDE "what should
I wear?" but there are probably other things I should ask her tomorrow
– so any suggestions would be great. Thanks!

The CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitor) is like wearing a 2nd pump. The sensor
is inserted like an infusion set. Understand they have a softsetter for
that now. It is a great tool for understanding what is happening. I did
look funny wearing 2 beepers clipped on my waistband. If you go to my
homepage and then to my diabetes section my CGM results are posted.
