why I like reactions
For me, the fun part (and of course there are bad parts as well) is the
blissful "checking out" from everyday control. It’s kind of the same
feeling I imagine people get at a spa, where there’s absolutely no
responsibility and all you have to do is drift in la-la land.
The bad ones ARE scary, and even the regular ones get exhausting when
they happen too often…but I wouldn’t mind one of those nice blissful
mild ones say, once a month. Maybe because it’s the only way I ever let
myself relax without feeling guilty!

Laurie…..Like Jan says if you like this more power to you. But for the
life of me Ill never understand how that feeling can be enjoyable. But go
for it. Chrissy

Not me, Laurie! I can’t imagine anything worse than losing control. I can
honestly say I have NEVER enjoyed a low, and for that very reason.
When I was given nitrous oxide at the dentist, I didn’t like it for the very
same reason. Instead of feeling pleasant, it was more like Omigod, what’s
happening to me, I feel funny.
I really can’t understand what could possibly be blissful about "checking
out."
