awful needles

Bart, I remember that feeling! (From two weeks ago.) It helped using
the automatic-injector (Sof-Sert) version to start with, because with the
machine doing it you’re not quite so aware of actually sticking this big
old needle into your body.
After doing that a few times, the Silhouette version seemed less
scary…but I think it’s helpful to ease into it via machine, where all
you have to do is push the button and not actually watch the needle going
in.

Oh, and PS — you might’ve already seen this, but I *wish* I’d heard
before getting started that the pump ISN’T all
paradise/wonderful/completely pain-free. I’d been convinced by the
marketing materials that it WAS, and then felt terribly let down when
(duh) it DID hurt to stick the needle in. No worse than a shot, but the
unrealistic expectations made it seem worse than it actually was.

Jan,
I looked at your pictures, and they are great! But, I do have a small bone
to pick.
I had to wade through tons of adds, junk and other irrelevant stuff to get
to the meat. It was rather overwhelming. Your pictures were almost lost
in a sea of promotions….
I recently put together a small web site that is totally mine, and it wasn’t
very hard. No adds, nothing but stuff of interest to personal friends.
