stretching tubing
Does anyone out there in ‘net land know if when I pull Bluda Sue out of her
bag and stretch the tubing, am I doing a small bolus unwittingly?

Jan, probably not. If you are pushing some insulin in, it’s probably only a
micro amount, and not enough to have an effect on your blood sugar.
Bluda Sue??!!

Jan,
I’ve never heard of that. Why have you heard something about that giving
you a bolus?

I just wondered about the stretching and return if it would cause it to
enter the body. A 0.1u can affect me. Just 0.5u before bed if I’m over 200
will cause a crash. Often I’ll show someone my pump and *ceremoniously* pull
the entire length of the tubing out and I got to wondering about that
stretching and the return.

Jan,
I just cannot believe that you are so insulin sensitive after all these
years (I really believe you, I just find it so remarkable). It is nothing
for me to take 20 u when I have a 300.

My daily total is about 33u.

Hi Jan: the possibility is there, but the amount should be truly minimal.
Why, are you having episodes of lows??? Joan
