I don’t have to get the lead out!
Joan,
My lab test showed no lead in my system from that ceramic mug. Very
confusing because I SURE had a major problem and went to the ER!!! It’s
typical, though - nothing wrong but I get major symptoms of *something.*

There is a heavy metal screen for metals that I believe includes lead…the
usual sample is a 24hr. urine. Most labs can give you the necessary
containers with preservative. They then usually send this out to a bigger
reference lab.

Scott,
But I have a ceramic mug that is turquoise on the inside that I was freezing
and drinking deliciously cold milk from since before Christmas. I developed
severe pains about 3 weeks ago and had to sleep in my clothes because I
couldn’t get slacks or socks off — hugsband is a trucker and home mostly
just weekends. The mug, when frozen, had a chalky white interior. I was
drinking something I wasn’t supposed to. Where can I get the mug tested?
The pains cleared up when I realized that mug shouldn’t do that and I ceased
immediately!! (sure miss it)

Jan - there are plastic double layer mugs that you can stick in the freezer
to freeze and keep drinks cold without diluting with ice….most of the time
they’re filled with some kind of fluid…most times water….so, you
shouldn’t have to miss your frozen milk…..Joan:)
