leaking sites
Last post on this, promise.
I do have a drop or two of insulin come out, when I change
sets, but what I was trying to say (rather inadequately!)
was that there was quite more than the usual drop. It was a
whole wet spot! Aghhh!! I hate talking without my hands!!

If you disconnect the pump and run a .5 bolus it is only a drop of insulin.
I usually just give myself an extra .3 on change days. So I will fill the
canula with 1.3 instead of 1 unit.
Using the tender.

Frank,
I also infuse one unit after changing tubing and site.

Why stop a nice discussion when it gets going
Don’t worry Tracy - even without your hands I was half thinking you were
talking about a whole wet spot, and not just a few drops! - but was after
I’d sent the email :o)
That’s another reason I prefer Silhouette/Tenders to SofSets: you can
actually see the point where it goes into the skin: it’s not hidden under
the infusion set. So if anything "leaky" were to happen (and insulin has a
fairly distinctive smell), you can get a good view of it…
Still not sure though - perhaps the infusion set was damaged and split?
