Hi Kathy,
My husband just started pumping (1 month ago), and I remember the day he
started his saline trial he had a weird "reaction" response. His sugars were
very high/and he was passing ketones too. He was still giving his usual insulin
injections-but it took him about 24 hours to get things back under control. We
felt that maybe it was a stress response sort of thing…
It hasn’t happened again, and the transition to the pump was very smooth. He
was glad for the saline trial, even though to some it seems like a waste of
time.
Also I will throw this out to any non-pumpers on the list..why is it whenever
you reach for you loved one-you hand always seems to fall either on the pump or
on the injection site?
Have a good y2k everyone!
Jill
