Yes, HMO’s with Medicare often pay for pump stuff….BUT when I
considered making this switch, I would have had to abandon my Endo of 20
years history for a new one of questionable credibility; in fact, one
CDE I know said they would rather die then submit to this forced Endo
candidate…
So, my decision was simple; pay the money and get the choice that made
sense…
Another risk of HMO/Medicare: Many of the HMO’s are dropping Medicare
support, and that leaves one looking for a Medigap policy again. These
are hard to find after having dropped the one you have been using.
