possible
Joan,
I got the following clip from another list. Is this possible (the insulin
dosages)??

The great news is I’ve worked for a large health insurance company for 15
years, and they very much want me to stay, to the point of hooking up what
I need off the network at work and putting here on my computer at home. I
have fun at work and refuse to give up. Right now my basal rate is 10
units an hour, with boluses of 20 pre-meal, and injections of 50 units of
70/30 twice daily. What haven’t I tried ?

this clip makes my hair stand on end….this lady definitely needs to be
followed more closely, and I don’t know why she’s on pump and getting 70/30
as well. 70/30 is useless for good control….with the congenital
pancreatitis, she obviously has other things going on…and neuropathy as
well. Some pain killers can effect glucose control…she may also be insulin
resistant, but very complicated case.
She needs to be started at square one to help her make things work
better…Joan
