I have to agree with Jan on this one, I am on 3 other lists, and if at least
part of the message you are responding to isn’t quoted, I have no earthly
idea what you are talking about. While it is not necessary or prudent to
copy the entire post, simply enough to reference the answer would be very
helpful.

Hi fp:
N.P. is Nurse Practitioner. It’s an advanced practice nurse - for me it’s
family, sort of like a general practitioner - the old town family doctor.
We’re considered physician extenders like physician assistants and nurse
midwives. We take care of the general stuff, physical assessments, ordering
tests, diagnosing and treating but our focus leans toward education and
prevention so there is a lot more teaching the patient to take care of
themselves and stay healthy or try to improve their health status. We work
together with the physician to provide more comprehensive care…hope that
answers your question, back to homework in a bit…Joan:)
