Friends,
I saw my " new " doctor, Dr. Sam Lerman yesterday. He did a very
thorough initial exam, reviewed my lab values, downloader my meter
results, and we then spoke for quite a while.
Also, the nurse that works with Dr. Lerman, did my vitals,
introduced herself, and explained how their office procedures work.
My initial observations are: " So, this is how a "_real_" office
operates. He made a very good impression, and I consider myself to be a
critical person.
Things he challanged immediately, which had not been noticed by my
previous doctor included a "_clinically_" sub-normal TSH value, which was
really low, but had never been noticed previously.
He had indicated that he will get thing moving foreward on
obtaining an Insulin Pump for me, something my previous endochrinologist
never attempted to accomplish, made several rather dramatic changes in my

I’m trying to get in on this, but don’t see anything that says *chat* to click

It just seems that if glass syringes were the best for insulin that they
wouldn’t have continued with the disposables. Like all the medications I took
for years and they took off the market because of the harm they cause (DBI,
Dyazide, Seldane, Cyclamates). I have a MiniMed 507C

I have never reused an infusion set. I withdraw the 20 units, detach the tubing,
place the *saved* syringe needle and get more insulin. No hassle. Hey, if it’s
$5 a month, that’s $60 a year = I could go shopping. 8^ )
