time it takes to adjust?

Saturday, May 31st, 2003

What is the average length of time it takes for others to have their new
infusion site adjust for a normal BG? Seems like mine takes a few or more hours.

where is everyone?

Well, it is rather obvious this list isn’t
"where it’s happening". So, where is it happening?

Gary
New to this list and disappointed no one is posting.

——————–

My MiniMed 507C (and former 506) allowed me to dose 0.1u at any time. My
manual says:
Normal Bolus: 0.1-25 units in increments of 0.1 units
Audio Bolus: A blus can be programmed using audible tones in either 0.5 or
1.0 unit increments. ((that’s to hear the beep))
Basal Rate and Profiles: A different basal profile can be programmed every
30 minutes. Rates can be set from 0.0 to 35.0 units per hour in 0.1 unit
increments.
Temporary Basal Rates: A temporary basal rate profile can be set to increase
or decrease the current basal rate for a duration of 30 minutes to 24 hours.

Joke = Aging Mildred

AGING MILDRED

Aging Mildred was a 93 year old woman who was particularly
despondent over the recent death of her husband Earl.
She decided that she would just kill herself and join him in death.

Thinking that it would be best to get it over with quickly,
she took out Earl’s old Army pistol and made the decision
to shoot herself in the heart since it was so badly broken in the
first place.

Not wanting to miss the vital organ and become a vegetable
and burden to someone, she called her doctor’s office
to enquire as to just exactly where the heart would be.

humor (is it a repeat??)

Quotes from Actual Medical Records:

By the time he was admitted, his rapid heart had stopped and
he was feeling better.

Patient has chest pain if she lies on her left side for over a year.

On the second day the knee was better and on the third day it had
completely disappeared.

She has had no rigors or shaking chills, but her husband states she
was very hot in bed last night.

The patient has been depressed ever since she began seeing
me in 1983.

Frank,
I’m having a hard time locating the instructions on how to
change the email address for myself on this group. I know
it’s not your job to tell me, but could you at least point me in
the right direction? When I tried yesterday, I couldn’t get to
onelist.com. Thanks for any help you can give.

Janet
