<description>I don't go through minimed, I go through Diabetes Self-care Management.
They handle all the paperwork for me. I call them when I need supplies.
It's been wonderful so far. Though, it's only been four months........

This has happened to me twice and want to make other MiniMed clients aware
of it:
Several years ago I received a call from someone about MiniMed (auditor?)
having $400 in my name and what did I want done with it. I did not know how
they got it and since it was my money, I requested it.

In April I charged $495 on my Visa for a replacement 506 until my ins.Co.
approved the 507c. I was told I would be credited with after the balance of
my deductible, which was about $285, when MM received the 506.

I waited and waited for a return mailer (the longer I had the 506, the
&lt;!--more--&gt;
longer I was paying interest on that $285). I called in May and got a
mailer. July 2 I called MM to inquire why I still had not been credited. I
was told they received the 506 6/4, but that my MiniMed account, not my
Visa would be credited. I said I was highly offended by this practice and
why would I charge that much to pay interest so they could hold my money.

AS A CAUTION - IF YOU ARE A MiniMed CLIENT - CHECK TO SEE IF YOU HAVE FUNDS
IN THEIR POSSESSION. It is against the law for banks to hold an overage in
escrow accounts. What about MiniMed doing this? I received a year's worth
of supplies with the 507c - therefore they would have had my money for a
year and I not know it.

<description>The only unusual event I had with Minimed occurred when I upgraded from
the 506 to the 507. Minimed stated that after a period of time, I
would return the 506 in a paid envelope. This never happened! After
several calls to Minimed, I finally gave up, as they showed no interest
in receiving the 506 back.
Anyone want a free 506?
All my other dealings with Minimed have been excellent; service,
infusion sets, etc.
