carrying all that stuff

Gail,

If you go to rei.com and enter "Eagel Creek Wanderer" and "Eagle Creek Ultimate
Travel Strap" into the search box on the top left of the home page it’ll take
you to that item. They are 35 and 15 dollars US respectively. These bags are
practically bullet proof and I’ve literally gone halfway around the world and
back with them.

Does your dog, by virtue of being a "hearing dog" get the same preferential
treatment that a "seeing eye" guide dog is accorded in the US because of the
ADA? I’d love to be able to take my dog evereywhere, and while I’m neither blind
nor deaf (assuming that your dog is an aid to you in that respect) I have no
sense of smell whatsoever. Its called anosmia. I’ve never heard of a "smelling
nose dog" nor have I done the research to see if I could qualify my dog as an
"guide type" dog which would grant him and I access to restaurants, shops and so

on.

Regards,
John Peterson

People make fun of my "pocketbook". It is a huge canvas bag that students
use for school. But between my supplies, my datebook, wallet, carb counting
book, sons asthma supplies, checkbooks, glucose tablets, glucagon, extra
food, book, and finally things like wipes and tampons, I couldn’t go out with
less. Need everything in there. Try to go with a little bigger bag if at
all possible I really think it is important to carry supplies.

    Kathleen,
I know I could get a bigger purse, but I don’t think I could carry it
very far. I like you have asthma and if my purse is very heavy it
interferes with my breathing also I have painful shoulders, due to a
diabetic complication, and cannot carry things too heavy on my
shoulders. So I was just wanting to know if there is anything magical
you guys have found. Thanks for answering.

How about one of those cute purse/backpacks they look big enough to at least
carry a set of supplies, meter, and a wallet. Cant remember what else you
mentioned but that way it would be evenly distributed against your back.
